The Tempest Is Raging

uhand “Master, the tempest is raging!
The billows are tossing high!
The sky is o’ershadowed with blackness.
No shelter or help is nigh.
Carest thou not that we perish?
How canst thou lie asleep
When each moment so madly is threat’ning
A grave in the angry deep?

The winds and the waves shall obey thy will:
Peace, be still.
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea
Or demons or men or whatever it be,
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean and earth and skies.
They all shall sweetly obey thy will:
Peace, be still; peace, be still.
They all shall sweetly obey thy will:
Peace, peace, be still.”
Hymns #105

That’s the way our home is feeling right now.  It may not seem like much of a tempest to many…and I am in no way trivializing the hardships and trials many are facing…but when my little ones are sick, everything grinds to a halt and life gets whipped around for a while.  LittleMiss is experiencing her first real illness — it looks like an ear infection on top of a yucky cough.  And DoubleD started the low-grade fever as well…which means the cough and fears of pneumonia will shortly follow…and 3-6 long weeks of breathing treatments and meds.

WarmFuzzy D.B. and SafeHaven D.B. are taking over for a while. I will post as often as I can…but “zombie cranky moms” don’t think very clearly.  So until this storm passes…hug your kidlets and stay sane!
